FareHarbor vs Peek Pro: Fees, Payouts and Support Compared

What FareHarbor and Peek Pro each publish about fees, payouts and support, and what to ask before you choose.

Two tabs open. One says FareHarbor, one says Peek Pro. Both are big names in tour booking, and neither shows a simple price list on the pages we checked. So how do you choose? You compare what each one actually puts in writing.

This guide on fareharbor vs peek pro sticks to what each company publishes on its own pages, checked in September 2026. We cover fees, payouts and support, then give you the questions to ask. You can also see all of our side by side guides on the booking software comparisons page.

FareHarbor vs Peek Pro at a glance

Here is what each company says about itself, plus GoFish.Rocks as a third option. Where a company does not say, we tell you to ask.

Platform Pricing, as published Payouts Support
FareHarbor Booking fee passed to the customer at checkout; rate not published Next day or on your schedule Phone or email, around the clock
Peek Pro Custom, quote-based pricing; request a demo Ask Peek Ask Peek
GoFish.Rocks Flat $1.50 per passenger, per trip Next-day funding to your own merchant account US-based, same-day, live phone

Fees: guest-paid fee vs quote-based pricing

FareHarbor. In a blog post dated August 21, 2024, FareHarbor says that with its model “the booking fee is transferred to the customer at checkout,” and describes the model as generally “omitting any monthly payment plans or upfront costs.” FareHarbor does not publish its booking fee percentage on the pages we checked, so ask for the exact fee in writing.

Peek Pro. According to the FAQ on Peek Pro’s website (as of September 2026), “Peek Pro uses custom, quote-based pricing tailored to your business rather than a fixed monthly plan.” You request a demo for a quote.

Here’s the thing: one says the guest pays the fee, and the other gives you a custom quote. Neither publishes a booking fee rate on the pages we checked. So your first job is to get both numbers on paper. (Yes, paper. The kind that doesn’t blow off the dock.)

If you can’t write the fee on a sticky note, ask again until you can.

Payouts and support

According to FareHarbor’s payments page (as of September 2026), “Funds processed through FareHarbor are paid out on the next day or whenever is best for your schedule.” That page gives no processing rate numbers. FareHarbor’s support page says: “Phone or email support available around the clock.”

For Peek Pro, we did not find payout timing or support hours on the page we checked. Ask Peek for both in writing.

For comparison, GoFish.Rocks plugs into your own merchant account (Stripe, Square, Authorize.net or our fair credit card processing option). We never hold the money, and most operators see deposits within 24 hours. Support is US-based and same-day, with a real person at (805) 871-0044.

Peek pro vs fareharbor for tour and activity booking software: which offers better reservations, channel management, and pricing?

It depends on what you need, and neither publishes a simple rate. Reservations: Peek’s homepage lists features such as AI dynamic pricing, automated waitlists, abandoned booking recovery, POS and waivers; ask FareHarbor for its own list. Channel management: FareHarbor runs the FareHarbor Distribution Network (FHDN); ask Peek how it handles channels. Pricing: FareHarbor says its booking fee is passed to the guest, and Peek says it uses custom quotes.

On FHDN, FareHarbor’s operators page says operators pay “20% commission on all bookings generated” through FHDN referral links and “25% commission” through the FHDN API, and “The commission rates are non-negotiable.” Those rates apply only to FHDN bookings, not to FareHarbor’s regular booking fee.

FareHarbor vs peek pro for tour operator booking software: which offers better pricing, OTA integrations, and customer support?

Neither one publishes a booking fee rate on the pages we checked, so compare written quotes. OTA integrations: ask each vendor which sellers they connect to and what those bookings cost. Support: FareHarbor says phone or email support is available around the clock; we did not find Peek’s support hours on the page we checked, so ask.

Run the same test trip through both demos. Pick 10 guests at your real ticket price. Ask each rep what you pay, what the guest pays, and when the money lands. Write it all down.

Questions to ask both vendors

Ask in writing

  • What is my exact booking fee, and who pays it? Fees
  • What is the card processing rate? Processing
  • What happens to fees on a weather refund? Refunds
  • How long is the contract, and how do I leave? Terms

Don’t assume

  • That a rate you read online is your rate. Quotes
  • That reseller bookings cost the same as direct ones. Channels
  • That a feature in the demo is in your plan. Features
  • That “no monthly fee” means no cost. Totals

The flat-fee third option

We’ve worked with charter and tour boat operators for years, and plenty of them just want a price they can read in one line. That is why GoFish.Rocks publishes ours on the pricing page:

  • A flat $1.50 per passenger, per trip. No percentage, no setup fee, no monthly subscription and no contract.
  • Pass the $1.50 to guests or absorb it.
  • Canceled and refunded trips cost $0, weather included.
  • Free setup, free training and free migration. Switch in as little as one week.
