Pricing FAQs
Common inquiries about our booking software.
How much does GoFish.Rocks charge?
A flat $1.50 per passenger, per trip. That’s it. No percentage of your ticket price, no monthly subscription, no setup fee, no cancellation fees, no premium tiers. If you run a trip with 18 passengers, you pay $27. If you run a private charter for 6, you pay $9. The math never changes based on what you charge.
How does that compare to percentage-based platforms?
FareHarbor, Peek Pro, and Origin charge 6% of every booking. On a $150 ticket, that’s $9 per passenger — six times what GoFish.Rocks charges. On a $500 private charter ticket, that’s $30 per passenger. The more you charge, the more they take. GoFish.Rocks charges the same $1.50 regardless of your ticket price.
Are there any other fees I should know about?
No. No setup fee, no monthly subscription, no cancellation fees, no refund processing fees, no contract termination fees. Payment processing fees (credit card interchange) are separate and standard; they are charged by your payment processor, not by GoFish.Rocks, and they apply to every platform.
Do I pay for canceled bookings?
No. If a booking is canceled, you don’t pay a dime. We don’t charge for trips that don’t happen.
Is there a long-term contract?
No contracts, ever. You stay because the platform works for your business, not because you’re locked in. There’s no minimum commitment period and no termination fee.
The Platform FAQs
Common inquiries about our booking software.
What types of businesses can use GoFish.Rocks?
Any event-based business with a fixed capacity and a scheduled departure or start time: fishing charters (open party and private), whale watching, sunset cruises, scuba diving trips, kayak tours, escape rooms, guided experiences, tour operators, and event venues. If you sell tickets or reservations to a time-specific event with a limited number of spots, use GoFish.Rocks is built for you.
Can I handle both open-party trips and private charters?
Yes. The system is designed to manage both simultaneously — open-party trips where individual seats are sold alongside private charters where a group books the entire vessel or venue. You can run both trip types on the same boat on the same day without conflicts.
Does the booking happen on my website or on a GoFish.Rocks page?
On your website. The booking widget embeds directly into your site. Your customers never leave your domain, never see the GoFish.Rocks logo during checkout, and receive confirmation emails from your business — not from a third-party platform. Your brand stays front and center throughout the entire booking experience.
What happens when a trip is fully booked?
The system automatically closes the trip to new bookings and activates the waitlist. Anyone who tries to book gets added to the waitlist. If a cancellation opens a spot, everyone on the waitlist receives an automatic SMS alert with a direct link to book the available seat. It’s a fully automated last-minute fill system.
How does the review routing system work?
After every event, you can send a one-click review request to all customers. The email asks a simple question: was it good or bad? Customers who respond positively are directed to your Google, Yelp, or TripAdvisor page to leave a public review. If a customer responds negatively, we send them to a private feedback form so you can resolve the issue before it becomes a public one-star review. The system logs the IP address and timestamp of every message opened, creating a verifiable record of delivery.
What communication tools are included?
Instant SMS and email booking confirmations, “Trip is a Go” mass alert system (one click sends weather updates, time changes, cancellations, or dock changes to all booked customers), pre-event reminders, post-event review requests, and fully editable message templates so every communication sounds like it came from your business.
Switching & Setup FAQs
Common inquiries about our booking software.
How long does it take to switch from another platform?
Most operators are fully live within a week. We handle the migration — setting up your vessels or venues, configuring your trip types and pricing, building your communication templates, and getting your booking widget live on your website. You don’t need a developer.
What if I'm currently using FareHarbor, Peek Pro, or another platform?
We’ve helped operators migrate from all of them. The process is straightforward: we export your existing booking data, configure GoFish.Rocks to match your operation, run a parallel test period if needed, and cut over when you’re ready. Your existing bookings and customer data transfer with you.
Do I need a developer to set up the booking widget?
No. The widget is a simple embed code — a single line of HTML that you paste into your website. If you can add a YouTube video to your site, you can add the GoFish.Rocks booking widget. We’ll help you through it if needed.
Is there a demo I can see before committing?
Yes — and it’s free. We configure the demo using your actual event types, vessel or venue setup, and pricing structure so you see the platform working for your specific operation, not a generic example. Book at gofish.rocks/get-started or call (805) 871-0044.
Support FAQs
Common inquiries about our booking software.
What does GoFish.Rocks support actually look like?
US-based support from people who understand event-based operations. No ticket queues, no chatbots, no offshore help desk. You reach someone who knows what a manifest is, understands why a weather cancellation at 4 AM is a crisis, and can actually solve your problem — not escalate it to a second tier.
What are your support hours?
Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Pacific. Support is still available for urgent operational issues any other time. Weather cancellations, system problems, anything that can’t wait until Monday. Call (805) 871-0044.
What if I have a problem during a trip or early morning departure?
Call (805) 871-0044. Support is always available for genuine operational emergencies. We understand that boats leave at 5:30 AM and that a manifest problem at 5 AM isn’t something you can wait 48 hours to resolve.
Still Have Questions? Just Call.
The fastest way to get your question answered is to call us directly. You’ll reach a real person who understands event-based operations and can give you a straight answer — not a link to a knowledge base article.
